We Are All Earthlings
"The time will come when men such as I will look on the murder of animals as they now look on the murder of men." - Leonardo Da Vinci
"While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal conditions on this earth?" - George Bernard Shaw
"I have no doubt that it is part of the destiny of the human race in its gradual development to leave off the eating of animals, as surely as the savage tribes have left of eating each others when they came into contact with the more civilized"- Thoreau
"Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the caterpillar" - Bradley Miller
Facts from Earthlings:
- 6 billion animals are killed every year in the US alone for food consumption (10,000/minute)
- Americans eat on average more chicken in one day than they did in one year in 1930
- 8.5 million birds/week are killed for US meat consumption
- 13 of 17 global fisheries are depleted or in serious decline. The other 4 are exploited or fully exploited
- 1000 million wild animals are killed for fur each year, 25 million in the US alone
-200 million animals are killed by hunters in the US a year
- 10 billion +animals are killed in the name of false science every year
The fact of the matter is Earth is in the midst of a great crisis and we have the opportunity to restore balance on the planet because we are the ones who have created the imbalance. To do so we must become heart-centered beings, which is the true measure of strength and wisdom. Meat consumption is destroying the planet, countless lives and people's health and it is inherently heart-closing (which often physiologically manifests as heart diseased, as witnessed in the United States). Every single one of us has the responsibility and choice to end the slaughter and stop eating death. Eating death means feeding death, destruction, war, chaos and ignorance and human-created evil. There is no excuse for this in this day and age. If you want to change the world for the positive it is absolutely necessary to stop eating animal products. Eat living foods (plants) and open your mind, open your heart and unplug from all of the false programming that promotes ignorance on this planet. It's time to wake up to a loving, peaceful and truly free world for all sentient beings. Be the change.

This video is very relevant, is well-delivered and has some great information, however I do not recommend eating soy, especially soy that is not certified organic as the vast majority of soy is currently genetically modified. Additionally, soy also has significant hormonal implications for most people as it is commonly made and consumed. Although eating soy is vastly better for people than eating meat and other animal based products and there are organic soy options available for those who desire it.
